Lisa (they/she) is a vocalist, educator & digital composer living in Minneapolis, MN.
They hold a dual undergraduate degree in Operatic Vocal Studies as well as Jazz & Contemporary Music from The Chicago College of Performing Arts.
Under the pseudonym Lisa Frank, their performances explore moody inner worlds through plodding baselines, heartfelt vocals and hazy synths. Inspired by the early 2000's internet, their bedroom-pop projects carve out a glittering dreamscape of tongue-in-cheek lyricism and understated theatricality.
Recent collaborations include Felicia Cooper's "Please!" (COMMFEST, 2026), A.P. Looze's "PRISM" (The Cedar Cultural Center, 2025), Erica Warren's "The Chopping Block" (Open Eye Theater, 2024), Steven Ackerman's "Autonomy of a Cyclops" (New London Little Theater, 2021), Des Moines Symphony Orchestra's At-Home Music Series ("The Music of Jeri Southern", 2021), and Radio K's In-Studio Broadcast (Betazoid, 2020). Lisa has also served as a gerontological music specialist, supporting adults living with memory loss and exploring the connection between music and memory.
A devout pet parent, auntie, and espresso enthusiast—Lisa enjoys wandering around the Great Lakes, recipe development and experimenting with the most effective way to fold a fitted sheet.
